What sets Lakeland Photo Holidays, landscape photography course apart is John’s intimate knowledge of the lakes and fells, something that can only be gained by living and working in the area.
Under his expert guidance guests are taken off the beaten track to the very best locations where they can capture some of the awe-inspiring views that have come to define the English Lake District. No matter what the time of year or the weather conditions John shows his guests how to capture the perfect image.
Have you ever returned from a days photograph full excitement about the wonderful views that you seen, only to be disappointed when you look at the images you have captured. There is not a photographer in the country that has not experienced a similar sense of disappointment, after Lakeland Photo Holidays landscape photography course it needn’t be that way.
With over 40 years of experience John has learned how to avoided many of the pitfalls that the amateur and even some professional photographer can make. Under his expert guidance you will learn how to get the most out of not only your camera but also you eyes, as the way that you perceive things is critical to the final image.
John encourages all his students on the landscape photography course to develop their own individual style of photography, rather than being prescriptive and telling people where and how to take their photographs. He encourages them to experiment, exploring the subject to the full while learning about composition, exposure and use of filters in order to capture best quality images.
The landscape photography course covers all aspects of landscape photography in the Lake District, running for five days / six nights from Sunday to Saturday, with a four night option available from Sunday to Thursday if preferred.
Post production - each evening, after dinner John reviews between 10 - 15 images from each person, providing constructive feedback and using a range of software tools to demonstrate the best of the images. The price is £685 for 6 nights or £495 for 4 nights inclusive of accommodation, tuition, food and excursions - only alcoholic drinks are excluded.
