Food

All the food served at LPH is home cooked by Gail Gravett. We are using as many local Cumbrian products as possible including eggs, sausages, lamb, beef, pork, chicken, cheeses and pickles. Gail also specialises in vegetarian cooking.All of our workshops are fully inclusive of all food; breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal.

Breakfast is served at 8.30 from Mon-Sat and 9am on Sunday. There is a selection of seven different cereals, apple juice and orange juice, brown & white toast, tea and coffee, decaffeinated versions are available if required. In addition a  full Cumbrian cooked breakfast is available, comprising a selection of local Cumbrian sausage and  bacon, provided by Keswick Game & fine meats, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, baked beans and a choice of fried, poached or scrambled eggs, made from local free range eggs from Sacles Farm, Embelton.

Packed lunches are provided on a daily basis, with a choice of filled roll, cake, and banana and fruit juice.

A four course Dinner is served at 7pm each night. This comprises a starter of home made soup or starter or fruit juice, a main course of beef, lamb or pork; chicken or turkey or fish and a vegetarian option if required. The puddings always include a home cooked hot pudding such as rice pudding, fruit crumbles, sticky toffee pudding or a cold mousse, cheesecake or flan. In addition cheese from The Cumberland Dairy Company and biscuits are available. Dinner is finished with tea or coffee served in the new lecture room with a fine mint chocolate.

Drinks

We are fully licensed. Drinks are available from when our guests return to LPH in the late afternoon.
We have a wide selection of international wines, Belgian beers including Chimay, Hoegaarden, Duvel and Leffe and a new selection   of Cumbrian beers from the Hesket Newmarket brewery.
