The builders are back on target for opening in April 2008. Windows are due on the 10th Jan and then messy work begins when we break through into the main house on all three floors;(.

LPH in a text book

We have recently found that LPH is now text book material. Niche Tourism by Mike Robinson and Marina Novelli. We received an email from America from a student writing an assignment of Photographic Holidays and on questioning where he had found out about us, he stated we were in his textbook and we didn't even know.!

Update on the building work. 7.12.2007

Build1 Build2 Build3

Building has slowed a bit due to the weather but we are now up to the first floor brick work, hoping to have the roof on and felted by Christmas. Really mucky work starts in January, when they break through into the rest of the house!

  • Conservatory came down on the 17th Nov and new foundations laid
  • Ullswater trashed on the 18th
  • Front garden almost converted to car park - being used as consturction work area
  • New build up to damp-proof course on 27th Nov.

Under Construction

New Building Extension

  • To deliver a new lecture room, new digital room, 2 new en suite double bedrooms Rydal and Grasmere, Completely refurbished Derwentwater room and new Ullswater twin 'limited access' room with separate access corridor on ground floor. New car parking facilities.
  • Work due for completion by 5th April 2008 for start of new season.
  • Work commenced 31st October  - Johns' 50th birthday.
  • Already completed foundations for digital room.
  • Major work commences 19th November when Conservatory is demolished!
  • Watch this space for news and pictures.
